Confucius + Sky Tram = Long Day

Day 7

We went to the hometown of Confucius today. We went to his home and walked around the courtyards. It was very pretty inside. The pictures can speak for themselves.
This one is a statue of the man himself.

Some of the group also walked to his grave site, which was rather modest. We had lunch at a hotel and then got back on the bus to go to Mount Tai. We were going to walk up but we didn’t have enough time, so we took the sky tram up instead, which is always fun. At the top the view was cool, as was the temperature. There was a building at the top that seemed to be a grave, unfortunately I don’t know who it belongs to. Surrounding the grave were locks that you could buy and lock up around it.It also smelled of incense because they were burning really large sticks of it.

We rode the tram back down and headed home.
