Art in China

Yesterday was the first full day spent in China. The group went to several galleries and visited the art districts. The most time was spent walking around the art districts and getting a feel for what the art world was like in China. I noticed that there are still a lot of communist motifs in the art. Whether it was a subtle color choice or an obvious symbol.

This doesn’t mean that there weren’t any non-communist motif pieces. There was a lot of abstract painting and sculpture, along with every other kind of style and form you could think of.
